Andhra and Telangana tax collections rise 19.47% in Q1

Direct tax collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana grew 19.47% in the first quarter of 2026-27. The region's net collection reached ₹41,568 crore up to July 17, according to the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax. Andhra Pradesh alone recorded 17% growth at ₹6,607 crore. The strong performance indicates improved economic activity in both states.
