Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Promises Public Consensus on Siang Hydropower Project

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has assured local residents that the 11,200-MW Siang hydropower project will not proceed without public consent. The project faces significant opposition from indigenous Adi communities concerned about displacement and environmental damage. Khandu stated that a final decision will only be made once the project's feasibility report is completed.
