Defence Ministry Clears Rs 1.10 Lakh Crore Acquisition Proposals for Forces

The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on September 7 cleared acquisition proposals worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore for the armed forces. The Army will receive CBRN reconnaissance vehicles, High Mobility Vehicles, Self-Propelled Mechanical Mine Layers, Advanced Light Helicopters, Trawl Tanks and the Sarvatra Bridge System. This is a major step to modernise India's defence capabilities and strengthen military preparedness.
