Jammu and Kashmir Court Remands Three Publishers to Police Custody

A Jammu court ordered three publishers to be remanded in police custody for ten days after their books with separatist content were supplied to government school libraries. Sub‑committees had initially approved the titles, but two were later flagged as objectionable. Over a hundred copies of each book had already reached schools before the withdrawal, prompting an inquiry and the suspension of eight education officials.
