J&K varsity libraries face crackdown over objectionable books

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has launched a crackdown on university and college libraries after two objectionable books were found circulating in schools. Around 251 copies of these books were distributed among educational institutions. Officials blamed the Sub Committee members for serious negligence and lack of due diligence in approving the content. The move raises concerns about academic freedom and content regulation in the region's education system.
