Karnataka Rural Population Projected to Fall to 30% by 2047

The rural population in Karnataka is projected to decline significantly from 3.6 crore to 2.4 crore by the year 2047. This demographic shift will cause the rural share of the state population to drop to 30 percent. These projections were revealed in the newly released Karnataka State Regional Urbanisation Plan-2047 report. The changing figures highlight a massive ongoing urban migration trend across the state.
