Naidu to launch replacement of 117 Sir Arthur Cotton barrage gates on July 13

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the first phase of a ₹152.95‑crore project to replace 117 gates of the Sir Arthur Cotton barrage on July 13. The renovation aims to enhance water management and is slated for completion by July 2028. Fifty‑eight gates were already replaced costing ₹31.77 crore during the 2014‑15 fiscal year, marking a significant upgrade to the state's irrigation infrastructure.
