Rockefeller Christmas trees turned into homes since 2007

Since 2007, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York City has been donated after the holiday season by property developer Tishman Speyer. The milled lumber is given to Habitat for Humanity, which uses the wood in construction projects. The wood has helped families across several US communities, transforming a famous holiday tradition into lasting shelter.
