Sloth bear trapped in oil palm fence rescued in Kakinada, sent to zoo

An adult male sloth bear was rescued from an oil palm plantation fence in Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh. The bear has been transferred to the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam. Wildlife expert D. Mahesh Babu says the animal will remain under observation for two days before being released back into the wild. The incident highlights the increasing human-wildlife conflict in the region.
