TN Prisons DGP Transferred Following Theni Jailbreak

Tamil Nadu Prisons DGP Sandeep Rai Rathore has been transferred following a jailbreak incident where 17 remand prisoners escaped from the Thekkampatti sub-jail in Theni district. The inmates, who fled on October 26, were successfully recaptured by special police teams within two days. This administrative reshuffle comes amid heightened scrutiny over prison security and management across the state.
