US Issues Power Grid Emergency Across 13 States

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright has issued an emergency order for 13 states and Washington D.C. to stabilize the power grid amid high electricity demands and maintenance outages. The directive permits PJM Interconnection to activate essential power generation units from October 13 to 16.
