Vigilance probe into KIIFB land acquisition is political drama: Vijayan

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan dismissed the vigilance probe into the KIIFB land acquisition in Kannur as a sub-standard political drama. He stated that the acquisition of 4,896 acres was a natural extension of a long-term developmental process. This land is designated for the Kannur International Airport and the Kochi-Bengaluru industrial corridor projects. The opposition previously argued that the multi-crore land deal approved during the LDF era warrants scrutiny.
