280 Ice Age Engravings Discovered in Overlooked Spanish Cave

Archaeologists have discovered 280 Palaeolithic engravings at the Cova de la Font Major cave in Spain after it was overlooked for decades. The artwork features diverse animal motifs and geometric shapes that challenge previous beliefs about scarcity in northeastern Iberia. This finding reveals unique artistic traditions independent of the famous Franco-Cantabrian region. The discovery offers fresh insights into the cultural practices and heritage of Ice Age Europe.
