AP Cabinet Raises PSU Retirement Age to 62

The Andhra Pradesh cabinet has approved a hike in the retirement age for regular employees of certain public sector undertakings, corporations, and societies, raising it from 60 to 62 years effective retrospectively from January 1, 2022. Eligible state government employees under the CPS will also receive a one‑time option to migrate to the Old Pension Scheme. This move aims to align pension policies with national standards and improve financial sustainability of PSUs.
