Cyclones Cause Over ₹500 Crore Loss to AP Power Grid

Recent cyclones have inflicted financial damages exceeding ₹500 crore on the Andhra Pradesh Energy Department. State Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar reported that over 7,500 power poles were damaged due to Cyclone Murasu. Emergency crews are currently deployed across affected regions to complete infrastructure restoration. Authorities have set a strict target to fully restore power supply by Saturday evening.
