NGT Notices Tirunelveli Collector Over Threats To Tamirabharani Fish Species

The National Green Tribunal has taken suo motu cognisance of a media report regarding threats to native fish species in the Tamirabharani river. Consequently, the green panel has issued notices to the Tirunelveli district collector and relevant authorities. This intervention aims to address ecological concerns and protect the fragile aquatic biodiversity of the river basin from ongoing environmental degradation.
