Tamil Nadu electricity consumers will face a fuel surcharge in November to recover additional power purchase costs incurred in September. Bi-monthly billed consumers will pay an extra four paise per unit, while monthly billed consumers face a five paise increase. This adjustment helps utilities manage fluctuating operational expenses related to energy procurement.
