West Bengal to launch 'Seema Mitra' award for border personnel by 2027

West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari announced the new 'Seema Mitra' award to honor BSF, SSB, and police personnel. A selection committee will be formed to identify recipients for their contributions to border security. This initiative aims to recognize the service of security forces stationed along the state's international borders starting in 2027.
