Andhra government imposed ₹1,000-crore house tax burden on urban residents: CPI(M)

CPI(M) leader Babu Rao said the Andhra Pradesh government has imposed a ₹1,000-crore house tax burden on urban residents through capital value-based property tax. He claimed this has increased house taxes by at least 15% every year. The opposition party alleged the state government is putting undue pressure on urban households.
